Greener Data Centres

With two Data Centres at ANU, we are looking at every possible effort to reduce energy consumption of these two areas of the university. The Data Centres at ANU consume around 11% of the overall electricity load. The facility managers of the data centres, Dave Hardwicke and Geoff Barlow work continuously to maintain uptime and keep energy consumption at the minimum.

Geoff and Dave have been doing a great job with the facility keeping PUE levels low and maintaining services at optimum levels to clients. Globally there is a lot of research in the area of ‘greening data centres’.Seven Steps to a Green Data Centre
